14 years ago, Joshua entered the EMS world as an EMT-Intermediate. He
continued his medical education and acquired his Paramedic license to lead
patient care in the prehospital emergency setting and transition into Critical
Care practice. After working for a local helicopter program, Joshua was inspired to return to school once again to obtain a license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Following obtaining his license he worked at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta within the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. With a Bachelor’s Degree from Mercer University, Joshua has completed Medical School and is currently applying for residency.
Joshua maintains National Registry status and acts as a National Registry evaluator for practical assessments. He continues to be a member of the
National Association of EMTs, Board of Critical Care Transport Paramedics,
National Board of Respiratory Care and the American Medical Student
Association. As a certified American Heart Association Instructor, he teaches BLS for Healthcare Providers, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Life Support and Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization.
Joshua has shared his medical knowledge with students from various allied health professions around the world. For the past ten years, Joshua has prepared confident, capable students for the emergency medical field. Presently, his focus is in Critical Care Paramedic education.
